Meet your Consciousness

The first meditation that was taught in the Basic Pranic Healing Class was The Meditation of Twin Hearts, a guided meditation in our Guru's own voice. This meditation is not only a technique for achieving illumination, but also a service to the world, as the earth is blessed with loving-kindness.

Usually the teachers ask us to study / read about the topic before experimenting. This was one thing i never followed, i don't know why. Especially if its spirituality - spiritual practices, i just go for it. My point is this: through different life times i might have acquired some knowledge and i preferred to bank on it. So when i started meditating regularly, i was totally unaware of what was in store for me.

In the beginning everything was erratic, especially the time of meditation. Gradually i settled into a pattern. I started enjoying the blissful stillness. Then i realised that i had been through similar experiences throughout my life, never recognising what it was. I thought the blue pearl was a vision defect.

Very rarely i saw images in my meditation. Then, one day during meditation a very beautiful blue face emerged. I had never seen anything so divinely beautiful.

A few weeks later, i was reading a book, one of Master's. In it, there was an explanation to the blue imagery. It is your individual consciousness.

Different people see different images.

Espoused - A Spiritual Journey

The word "growing" implies process. Growing implies mistakes.....we all make mistakes! Do not make a big fuss when you make a mistake. Just keep going. Do not be too hard on yourself.
- GMCKS

How important is a life partner? Is there any other relationship in this planet that is more important and total?  There might be exceptions depending on ones outlook and perception. Here i am talking not about the exceptions, but about the majority to which i belong.

When i look back now, i could see that myself and my husband had more differences than similarities. The relationship was built on similarities and little things like the love of home-made food, a cozy home and listening intently when the other person talked, whether you liked /understood the subject or not. Meanwhile we tried sincerely to work out our differences, and over the course of time we reached amicable solutions. Rome was not built in a day!

This is one relationship where you get to do multiple roles: such as a lover and a loved one, ego and alter ego, parent and child, a teacher and student etc etc. Here is a relationship that brings forth many qualities, you thought you never had. This is a space where two souls grow up into more perfect souls in the company of each other. This relationship is the greatest investment of a life time, not only world-wise, but also spiritually. This relationship is nothing less than a sadhana - an ego transcending spiritual practice.

Many a time a life partner, whether husband or wife, is taken for granted or idolized, which is like being a spectator, rather. Please don't do that. You were not brought together for a passive existence. Delve deep into the life given to you. Experience it with an open mind, work on it with patience and love, improve your perception-live and let live. Look at your partner as your friend and equal. Overcome the hurdles together. Enjoy the togetherness and thank each other for everything.

Bye for Now, Sweet Friend

Yesterday night one of my friends passed away leaving behind her two girls, her parents, siblings, her husband, her friends and all her students, who hoped against hope for her recovery. She suffered from lung cancer.

We met in Hyderabad a decade ago. Unlike me, she was a very articulate person and made friends very quickly.  She worked as lecturer in a reputed college until she left Hyderabad a few years back. Next thing i heard was that she suffered from lung cancer - fourth stage. That was unbelievable. She had left Hyderabad as a healthy and robust person.

Lung Cancer is a silent killer. Only three-fourth of the affected people show some symptoms like cough, coughing up blood or rust colored sputum, weight loss, hoarseness, wheezing, shortness of breath etc. These symptoms too appear in the advance stages. For my friend, she coughed up blood along with sputum. The diagnosis was fourth stage lung cancer.

When i met her later, she didn't look like she had that fatal disease. As usual she was talking continuously - her dreams about her girls, her writing during her remission, her work as a counsellor in the hospital and about friends and students, her well wishers. She inspired her fellow patients to lead a quality life. Like a true teacher, she lifted them up from depths of depression. She lead by example.  She was an epitome of Hope.  A life well spent. Bye for now, sweet friend.

The Soul or the Self cannot be killed..
It cannot be slain...
It cannot be drowned..
And it cannot be burned..
Just as a person changes his garments from day to day -
A person changes his body from incarnation to incarnation.
The Soul...that I AM is immortal.

Gratitude

In ordinary life, we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.
- Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

Have you ever felt gratitude to someone or something? Have anyone ever expressed gratitude to you for something you did?.............Think about it. Isn't it a quality that is getting extinct? Look at the e-world we belong. Connectivity is at our finger tips. To make things easier emoticons are provided. But our take- it -for -granted attitude stands between us and our sense of gratitude/appreciation.

There are a very few who stand apart, who never forget to appreciate things, however small it might be. Here is a primary school classmate, Madhu N R who fits the bill. In those days he was an introverted kid who answered in monosyllables when talked to.

Three decades later when i met him, he had already authored a few books and was running a daily cartoon-strip on his Facebook page. But then, he still felt that something was amiss.

One day after this meeting, i got a call from a Publishing house asking me to Self Publish. Honestly speaking, i had nothing at hand. So i called my friend and passed the information. It caught his interest and a few months later his book was published: Glimpses of Life through Cobweb.

In the Acknowledgement page he mentioned me. I was very touched. In this world, where sincere efforts go unappreciated, this guy has immortalized me for a bit of information i passed on to him.

Can we manifest?

Miracles do not break the laws of nature, they are actually based on them.  - GMCKS

Can we manifest things? If we ask this question, 90%  will answer in the negative. Another 8 - 9 %  might oscillate between yes and no. Only 1 - 2% has faith in manifestation.

One day after a group meditation, i had a vision. I saw a house. At that time we were living in a government accommodation . (My husband being a government employee) He had no plans of buying a house in the city. But i was fed up of living in temporary accommodations. I always loved to have a house of my own. Most of my free time was focused on this. On the other hand, my husband had many reasons against owning a home in the city. I was undeterred, and went on dreaming of a place of my own.

Coming back to my vision; following night my husband called me , he wanted to show me something on the PC. He was on a popular Realtor's site. He pointed out to a housing project in the neighborhood. As i was going through it, he picked up the phone and dialed the contact number. No one answered. I thought that was it. But to my great surprise he sent an email to the builder. Next day the manager contacted us. After wards it was a whirlwind of  actions. With a little help from our kin we were able to finalize the deal.

Faith is so simple. It is the ego that casts doubts.

Adolescent Love

Adolescent love/ Puppy love is part of growing up. Some indulge in it for the sake of it. Some get serious and for some it is just a game - they flit from one love to another like a butterfly. Some walk into it unknowingly, like me. Being a very uncommunicative person or at best a misunderstood person, I can't imagine how it happened. But it happened. And like most puppy loves it ended too. And the best thing is we are still great friends.

A word of caution to parents, do not get wound up when you come to know about your kid's Puppy love. See it as a part of growing up. 99.9% of the population had passed through this phase and the world has not come to a standstill. So be calm and composed. Just talk to the kid. Be a friend. Just remind them to be responsible.

The most celebrated Puppy love is that of Radha and Krishna.

My Father

Other than myself the next best friend i had was my father. I loved to be near him whenever he was at home. And he, in turn, was very patient. Like every children, i too was curious. I had so many doubts and questions. He listened to me and cleared my doubts as simply as he could. If, still he was unable to convince me, his stock answer would be:" once you grow up you will understand it." That was acceptable to me.

He provided us with the best things in the world. He didn't want us to miss what he missed as a child. Both his parents died when he was very young. He was the youngest in the family and was ill-treated and subjugated by his siblings. At the age of 16 he ran away from home. When he could stand on his own he came back, the siblings who had squandered all the family wealth, unashamedly rallied around him. He forgave but never forgot.

As a teenager too i used to confide things to him. He always listened and gave his opinion. In times of distress he was my knight in shining armor.

For all this love, care, trust what could i give him back? Nothing. He was a self-made man. He had all what he wanted. Did he? From the time i could remember, he missed one thing. He missed his mother. Most days, in sleep he called out for his mother. He still missed the love and care of his mother. This yearning continued till the end of his life.

At this point of life, the only thing i can wish for him is; If he has a rebirth, let him be blessed with the best mother and every best things in this world.

Dhyan - Arhatic Dhyan

After completing my Advance Pranic Healing and Pranic Psychotherapy course, i started my healing practice at home. After the Twin Hearts Meditation and the morning chores, i spent some time to practice healing. Practice makes one perfect. This became my routine for months. At this time i got a call from the Pranic Healing Foundation to join the Arhatic Prep. classes. These  are initiation classes to become an *Arhatic Yogi.

In Arhatic Prep. classes the students are taught higher meditations along with other topics. Arhatic Dhyan is one such meditation. During my first Arhatic Dhyan, i was very composed and calm and was following the instructions. At some point of time, i found myself at a height, as if, i was looking down from a flight. The only difference was in the color, like wearing a shade over my eyes. Then the scene changed. I was at  a place, a place of profound silence, intuitively felt it was snow and ice all around. The only sense organ that was working was my Eye - my "shaded"vision. Suddenly i was terrified and the next instant i was back in my body, in the meditation hall.

*''Arhatic'' is derived from ''arhat'' describing a highly evolved being. This yoga system was given by MahaGuruji Mei Ling to Master Choa Kok Sui. It has its origin from China, India and Tibet. In addition to being an advanced technique practised by Spiritual initiates, it also synthesizes and integrates all yogas: Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Gnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Mantra Yoga, and simplified Hatha Yoga. - Excerpts from Master's Book.

My First Time

It was on 22nd January 2011. With no idea what is in store, i walked into the hall with a friend. There were others too. The teacher was already there. The OM mantra was playing softly. Huge, garlanded photograph of Grand Master Choa Kok Sui presided the proceedings. The aroma of burning incense sticks greeted our nostrils.

With an invocation and prayer the class commenced. The teacher lectured and demonstrated the basics and importance of energy healing, Then he introduced us to guided meditation. We sat in
chairs, in a semicircle around the teacher. We were asked to sit upright with our spine straight and open palms on the chest level. He instructed us to touch the tip of our tongue to the palette and close our eyes. Then he switched on the meditation recorded in the Master's voice.

As instructed, i closed my eyes, keeping the tongue to the palette was a bit tedious. I tried to listen to Master's voice. Random thoughts played hopscotch in my mind. I couldn't sense any movement around me, other than the recorded voice. Is this Meditation? I didn't feel anything different or unusual. Halfway through the meditation, i started worrying. This was not what i expected and to be frank,  i  didn't know  what to expect. So many doubts crept into my mind. Finally i made up my mind. Discreetly, i opened my left eye slightly and watched the others sitting on my left. All were sitting still. I closed my left eye, and opened my right eye slightly and watched the others on my right side. All were sitting still. Then i watched the teacher. He too was sitting still, in deep meditation. I closed my eyes again and tried to emulate the others. This was my first time.

My little Angel

One day my daughter asked me, " Where do you want to be incarnated in your next life?" Such questions are not unexpected of her because from the time she could utter two words together she has posed many like the above one. She was always a child who thought beyond her age.  Very forgiving and compassionate  by nature. Such kids are a real blessing. Not only they think, but also make us, parents, think - out of the box.

The above question and many such, inspired me to think, to study and learn the lessons of life. After which i started seeing life afresh, in a new light, light of love and understanding. It increased my awareness and broadened my perspective. It made me discover the divine in me and the divinity in others. I am not sure whether i have developed my clairvoyance or clairaudience, but i definitely have 'clairguidance', if such a word exists.

My daughter's words catapulted me from the mundane to esoteric mysticism. She helped me to grow spiritually. I let go of my ego and allowed myself to be guided by the divine. I started to do daily meditation. I found peace, i found inner- happiness.

When i look back now, i feel that i was reborn with my daughter - a rebirth in the same life. I grew up along with her, spiritually. I feel that she is an angel, send by the divine, to guide me,to help me grow spiritually. Because each life is given to us to learn a certain lesson and thus develop spiritually. In each life we are supposed to develop a spiritual aspect, which will enhance our self-awareness and raise our consciousness. And when we develop complete faith in the divine, we are divinely guided.

So the answer to my daughter's question is: "I'd like to be born in a place and environment where i can develop spiritually".

GURU, How i met my Guru

'When the student is ready, the teacher will come,' this is applicable to every spiritual aspirant. But many a time we think we are ready and no teacher is out there for us. And we grow impatient. I had gone through this phase. Now i realise - when i thought i was ready, i wasn't really ready. I had to go through many many learning experiences that seasoned and matured me to intuitively accept my teacher, when he presented himself before me, posthumously though. Yes, i 'met' my teacher after he left his life on earth.

When i landed in Hyderabad, ten years ago, i had totally forgotten all about my search for a teacher. I was so embroiled in the mundane, and nothing beyond it attracted me. Six years passed. One day one of my acquaintances here called me up and asked me to attend a workshop on Pranic Healing. That was the first time i heard about it - Pranic Healing. I was not very keen about it, even though i promised attendance. And forgot about it totally. One evening the same person called me and asked why i was not there at the venue. That was when i remembered my promise. That person was so insistent that i attend the workshop and reminded me that the venue was just 150 metres from my house. So very reluctantly i attended the workshop..................... and that was the end of my search for a teacher. That was where i heard the name of my teacher for the first time - Grand Master Choa Kok Sui.

Guru's grace is a must to fulfill one's life-plan    - Sadhguru

Note: Afterwards, the acquaintance ended all contacts with me. Maybe that person's duty was only that - to connect me to my teacher. I am grateful to that person.

Self-Healing

 Healing at your finger tips

It started as a dull pain in my lower back. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? It started building up. First I thought it was my bad posture that caused it. Then I started correcting my posture. Still the pain persisted. Now what? What about yoga…  I started doing some yoga postures, which gave good results in the past. But this time, NO. Days turned to weeks. Another doubt crept into my mind – am I suffering from UTI ?? I watched out for the other symptoms associated with UTI.  Nothing at all. You must be wondering why I am not visiting a medical practitioner, to get diagnosed. The reason is simple. I don’t like to.

I was still  pondering and analyzing about the cause. Meanwhile, the pain grew impatient, it was waiting to be suppressed, but nothing like that happened. Being left unguarded it shifted to my hips.  My analysis followed the pain. The pain seemed to love the freedom. It started moving down my right leg. Maybe the pain thought it was doing the right thing. Days passed.

Since I was cold shouldering the pain from day one, it too thought of turning cold. Tit for tat! My whole right leg became numb. I could still walk around. But any activity that involved raising my feet, for example climbing staircase, was faced with some resistance. I could raise my feet but not enough to clear a step.

Now, I don’t remember how many days I walked around in that condition. Then one night, suddenly I had this urge to visit the Pranic Healing Foundation. Next morning I took a cab to the Foundation. It was one of those days in the Foundation, when Arhatic yogis gathered to do intensive meditation. Being an Arhatic yogi myself, I joined them. The whole day was spent in meditations. In the evening when it was over and everyone was leaving, I stopped by the person who was guiding us throughout the day. She was a senior disciple of Grand Master Choa KoK Sui (the founder of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga and my Guru). I always felt very close to her, not only me, all the others who have visited the Foundation and interacted with her felt the same. I told her about the problem I was facing. After hearing me she asked me to visit a doctor. I didn’t move a muscle, just waited for her to speak up. She must have sensed what was going through my mind. So she did the Pranic healing protocol of Scanning. Then she explained to me the protocol I should follow in self- healing. I was a Pranic Healer, who had been reluctant to heal self.  But this time I made up my mind.

Next day I sat down to heal myself. My right leg was still numb. I started healing. I used the Advanced Pranic Healing method. I completed the healing protocol and stood up. You won’t believe, my right leg was alright. The leg was normal.

Its more than an year now. It is nothing less than a miracle. The miracle of Pranic Healing. Thank you Master Choa Kok Sui. Thank you in full faith.

Note: No oral medications or external applications were used in the process.

Listen to your Heart

Once upon a time knowledge was power, but,  now, it turns out that sharing of knowledge is not only power, but a blessing too

Two months back i was talking to a childhood friend over phone . (Let us call him Mr.X .) He was recuperating from viral fever . In between our exchanges , he casually referred to a jaw pain he had along with his other symptoms . I had read somewhere that lower jaw pain was a symptom of heart disease which many were unaware of . I passed the information to him and requested him to go for a check-up . Though he registered the fact, he never did a check-up. Period.

A few weeks later another friend rang me up at an odd hour and broke the news that Mr.X suffered a heart attack .

Mr.X had a 90% blockage . He underwent  angioplasty . And is safe now .

A week later Mr.X rang me up. He told me that had i not mentioned to him about the seriousness of the lower jaw pain, maybe, he wouldn't have thought of going to the hospital .

The Pomegranate

Last February i bought a Pomegranate plant, a grafted one. Though half a feet in height it had beautiful red blossoms. In the hope of harvesting a couple of fruits, in a few months time, i brought it home.

My hopes fell apart............... when... one by one the flowers dropped. I tried my best to protect the plant. But the flowers couldn't withstand the Hyderabad summer and their new abode - my balcony which turns into a furnace during summer.

To my delight, the plant survived the summer and a new batch of buds appeared. Buds turned to beautiful red blooms. I anxiously waited for the flowers to develop into fruits. Tch ! Tch ! the flowers 'floored' once again.

There was no green-thumb around, so i turned to Google. And discovered that the non- fruition was due to the absence of pollinators - bees, butterflies etc. When we first came to stay in this place there was an abundance of bees and bee-hives. The human invasion has forced them to leave the area - lock , stock and barrel. What next? To Google once more....There i came across hand - pollination. With the newly acquired knowledge i waited for the next batch of blooms.

And when the buds appeared i was ready with my brush. As soon as the buds burst into blooms, my brush did the job of the pollinator.

I waited with bated breath. In a few days i saw the result. There was a slight bulge below the calyx.

The pomegranates developed a blush in winter.

Getting Started

Getting Started ! How? When ? What?
The mundane and bizarre pops up
In a flash, goes fast forward
Confusion ,everything fizzes
Nothing sticks to my mind

 Oops !
View fades ,Thoughts cloud
Then everything goes kaput
Oh Oh !
Now What?
A big blank !
This the way to get started ??

For me it is
The calm comes after the storm
And i get started.
